Preface
Romans 8:19-21 KJV For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the [sons-HUIOS] of God. (20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, (21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The author sends this book into the world in the name of the Masters of the Wisdom by whose guidance and direction it has been written.
It contains a Message for all who are ready to receive it. The Message was given to the author as a sacred trust by the Elder Brothers of humanity and he offers a humble prayer before the throne of these Great Ones that, should he ever cease to labor in Their Cause, another may come forward and consciously realizing the import lying behind this particular presentation of Truth for the New Age, carry it on to the final triumph of the Light over all forces of darkness.
This Message is, as it were, the standard of the on-marching army in the Cause of the Masters, which is given first to one and then to another, should the former bearer fall in battle.
For though its bearer fall, wounded in the strife, yet the standard must be snatched from the ground by some brave and stalwart soul who will hold it aloft that the advancing ranks may be heartened and assured that their Cause is still triumphant. In his life experiences, and in the writing of this book, the author has become convinced that an academic education is not essential to the understanding of the divine philosophy of life.
The education we receive in the power and glory of the creative forces, through simple faith and self-surrender, is sufficient for all purposes. The secret of success in any field of endeavor—especially in the cause of Truth—is to trust in the all-sustaining and all-pervading Power within us.
If anyone desires to know about the great Masters of Life let him read the Message of the New Cycle as expressed in the teachings of the School of the Sacred Science until its inner content dawns upon his awakening soul. In thus aligning himself with the source of Power from which this work is given he will discover that the power of the personal will to further the growth and development of spiritual realization is as nothing compared to that of the great Cosmic Will; therefore as personalities we should lay down our human wills and surrender completely to the Cosmic Will which is constantly manifesting its beneficent force within us.
While we are perpetually conscious of our limitations in a personal significance we cannot manifest unlimited Power. Our personal power belongs to that greater Power and it is only our consciousness of separateness from It that limits our expression.
To establish complete unity with Cosmic Power through realization of the Self is the only purpose of this life. That this purpose may be revealed is the author’s sole object in putting forth this book. If it is accomplished, then truly this Message will be the Way to Life. So, again, be it known that in the name of the Masters of the Wisdom this book is written; may it bring Their blessing to all who read it.
